ONE of Boris Johnson’s former political advisors, who helped the ex-Prime Minister enshrine the target of ‘net zero’ in UK law, has been in the North East to highlight his new campaign for planning reforms to fast-track green energy developments.
Sam Richards now leads a new cross-party campaign group called Britain Remade, and this week was meeting business, community and political leaders in County Durham, Wearside and Northumberland.
We caught up with him as he addressed an audience in Sunderland.
