Carbon literacy should be on the national curriculum, says North East academic
CLIMATE crisis means people are increasingly keen to learn how they can personally help – and it’s time for the Government to tap into that and create a national education programme.
That’s the view of a North East academic who has just finished researching people’s attitudes to being taught about their environmental impact, and how their small individual choices can lead to major climate benefits.
It’s a concept known as ‘carbon literacy’.
